The Founder
Lawrence T. Roach, QPM, BSc(Econ), PhD.
Born in London, England in 1939, he is the author of the Founding Books of the Society of HumanKind and Founder of the Society which he first established in the millenium year 2000.
On retirement after a lifetime career as a police officer, the Founder, by his choice and at his own expense, registered as a part-time research student at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, England, as his individual expression of the obligation of every member of the Society to seek to reach their own full potential.
On 20th December 2004, at the age of 65, he was admitted by the University to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). His thesis was in the field of the history and practice of British policing. It is not directly connected with the Aim or work of the Society. He is now engaged in part-time, self-funded, research into the philosophy of David Hume at the University of Birmingham (UK).
In his position as Founder of the Society Dr. Roach currently holds the authority of World Council of Elders of the Society in trust pending its first full establishment.
